About the training specialization for Plumbers

Plumbing is a prestigious field with excellent job prospect and interesting work.

Acquired knowledge and skills:

• Installation of pipe systems for home and public water supply and sewerage
• Installation of bathroom and kitchen fixtures
• Repairs and replacements of batteries, reconstruction of wiring and equipment of residential cores
• Installation and regulation of central heating, including the boilers and radiators
• Installation of gas distribution, connection of gas appliances
• Gaining experience in operating modern technology
• Welding certificate - authorization obtained for welding metal and plastic distribution networks, soldering and pressing copper pipes

Financial support during the study period:

• This training specialization is supported by the Liberec Region; the students effectively receive a motivation stipend of 500 crowns each month (15 000 crowns in total). In addition, they may also receive special achievement-based stipend, paid on a half-year basis, in a total amount of 12 000 crowns over the 3-year period.
• Second and third year students receive a reward for a productive work done, which can reach up to 1 000 crowns per month.

Other benefits during the period of study and training:

• Provision with basic personal and protective equipment (work clothes, work gloves, footwear);
• Provision with necessary tools and equipments for practical training;
• Welding courses:
  • 2nd year – welding of plastics course
  • 3rd year - flame welding course and copper soldering and pressing course
• Students participate in showrooms, lectures, and seminars offered by construction companies, as well as in thematic exhibitions and field trips;
• They also take part in competitions to prove their knowledge and skills in the field;
• The boarding is provided in the school’s canteen, with the option of ordering food online;
• They can find accommodation in a pleasant and well-equipped dormitory;
• The use WIFI is for free;
• The School is proud of its modern equipment and student-friendly atmosphere, with individual approach to students.

The length and type of study:

• After 3 years of study and training, a graduate will receive his /her Vocational Certificate and a Leave Certificate.
• The study takes place in two weekly cycles. The week of theoretical teaching and the week of professional training alternate.
• Professional training takes place in the workshops of the School. Students in the second and third year can work on contracts directly on construction sites. While working there, they gain experience from practical activities, which enables them to master their trade in the future.
• Professional training may take place in the facilities and workshops of the cooperating companies.
• There are still few specialists in the field; and the construction industry has no limits to its capacity to employ good specialists. Your work will be visible!
